Hotel Used by HHC 2008 Attendees
HHC 2008 attendees will stay at the Holiday Inn Express Corvallis — On The River which is only one mile from the HP facility and conference site. If you'd rather stay at a less expensive (and less fancy) hotel or motel, several are listed at the bottom of this page..Sorry, the special HHC 2008 room rate offer expired on August 27. Rooms may now be reserved at the ordinary rate online. The following obsolete information about the special HHC 2008 rate is left on this web page for archival purposes only.
NOTE! Do NOT register for the hotel online. To qualify for the “HHC Conference 2008” special rate, you must register for the hotel by phone (details below).Although the usual minimum rate is $135 per room, the hotel is offering us a special “HHC Conference 2008 rate” of only $89 per room per night... a savings of $46 each day! (Many thanks to Richard Nelson for arranging this!) The rooms have either one king-sized bed or two queen-sized beds. Single rooms and double rooms cost the same, so you and a friend can share a room and split the cost ($44.50 each; I did the math on an HP 35s).
When registering for the hotel, be sure to let them know that you will be attending “HHC Conference 2008” and want the special $89 rate. Please note: The “HHC Conference 2008 rate” is only available for three nights maximum: Friday night 09/26/2008 through Sunday night 09/28/2008, inclusive. Checkout must be by Monday 09/29 at the latest. Hotel reservations must be received by AUGUST 27th to qualify for the HHC special rate. You must register for the hotel by phone and request the “HHC Conference 2008 rate ” to qualify.
Hotel phone number: 541-752-0800, 24 hours a day.

Other Nearby Motels
Best Western, 925 W. Garfield, $84/night. (F on map below)Super 8, 407 NW 2nd, $72/night. They had good reviews and offer free wireless internet. Also, they are walking distance, 2000 feet to the Holiday Inn (I on map below), where most of us will be staying.
A bit lower on the quality scale would be Day's Inn, 1113 NW 9th. (C on map below)
For any of these, the cheapest rates are available from their web pages. Web rates are slightly cheaper than AAA or AARP rates. As for location, it does not matter that much because attendees will be driving, not walking to HP.
Some very cheap motels are also marked on the map below, but they are ineffective if sleep is desired.
