Since the conference will be held at the SpringHill Suites near the San Jose Airport, most attendees will stay there. This facilitates socializing after hours, comparing programming techniques while lounging in the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, and so on. You may stay at another local hotel if you wish, but then you will be on your own, and you will have to travel to the SpringHill Suites for the conference.

The special HHC rate this year is $124/night (+14.195% +$1 taxes = $142.60). All of the currently available rooms are king bed only, but each room also has a pull-out bed.

Parking is $15 per night.

Meals

The hotel offers a complementary buffet breakfast (see photo above).

All meals will be at the discretion of each attendee. There will be no meals served in the meeting room this year, since catered events at hotels have become prohibitively expensive.

In addition to the hotel's own pub ("Skyport Lounge, Serving Quick Bites 7 evenings a week, Open for dinner"), there are a number of food choices in walking distance. Light rail station is a couple of hundred feet away if you want to go downtown, where there are a huge number of food choices. The Greyhound bus terminal is close also.

Transportation between Hotel and Airport
