Grand Door Prize
Win A Trip To Attend HHC 2002 In London!

Visit London (or Europe) and attend the (last?) International HP Handheld conference with many of your conference expenses paid. The Prize includes:

  • Air travel on United Airlines - Round Trip between a United Airlines “gateway” city in the continental USA and London (or selected other European cities). *
  • HHC 2002 Conference attendance fees.
  • Dinner by organizers of HHC 2002, where you are a guest of honor. **
  • Personal Travel Consultant for the HHC 2002 conference.
This could cost many dollars if you buy your own ticket and pay for a Dinner at Wlodek’s world famous Polish Club. You may also take advantage of “being there” and spend additional days before or after the HHC 2002 conference on your own seeing the many places of interest in London, the U.K. or in Europe.

1. How to ENTER:  When you fill out the Registration Form, and have Checked In (unless prevented by Divine intervention) and Paid your attendance fee at HHC 2001 you will be automatically entered into the GRAND PRIZE drawing.

2. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, you must be a registered, paid-up, and checked-in attendee of “HHC 2001: A Handheld Odyssey” by the time of the drawing, and be at least 21 years of age. You need not be present at the drawing to win, though we hope you will be there.

3. SELECTION OF WINNER: The drawing will be held on Sunday 16 September 2001 at Noon, or later that afternoon. One (1) winner will be selected in a Random drawing from all eligible entries. At that time, alternates will be selected in case the winner is unable to comply with all of the Terms and Conditions stated above, below or by donor. However, at the discretion of the donor, the winner may transfer the prize to another eligible attendee.

Terms and Conditions - i.e. The FINE PRINT

This is an offer to encourage your attendance at the HHC 2001 conference in Chicago September 15,16-2001, perhaps the LAST HHC conference to be given in the USA :-(

Air transportation is being provided round-trip non-stop between London (or any other city United flies to in Europe) and one of these US cities: Boston, New York, Newark, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Travel may start as early as January 1, 2002, return may be started as early as September 22,2002 and must be completed by  February 28, 2003.

All air travel is “space available.” This has significant restrictions which will be discussed with the winner by the donor. Midweek travel may be required so as to arrive in London in time for the HHC 2002 conference. Class of service will be determined at the time of departure.

If the winner wishes to travel with his or her spouse, the donor will arrange for “space available” travel for the spouse as well, but at the expense of the winner.

Note: The donor of the air travel will try to make special arrangements of an equivalent value if the winner is not a US resident.

** As part of the GRAND PRIZE, winner will be required to attend the Dinner at the Polish Club on the night of September 21, 2002 as the guest of honor at which time he will be presented with his/her return ticket to the USA.

The acceptance of this GRAND PRIZE is non-refundable and has no cash value if not used per the terms and conditions stated above, below or verbally by the donor. The winner must verify his/her ability and intention to use the GRAND PRIZE in a reasonable time (as determined by the donor) so as to be able to offer it to the next alternate winner.

The prize is not transferable without the express approval of the donor.

This offer is VOID where prohibited or restricted by law or as determined by the donor.

In the event that HPCC postpones the 2002 conference, the air travel portion of the prize will also be postponed.

In the event that HPCC decides not to hold a full HHC conference, the air travel portion of the prize will be awarded without the restriction on attendance at HHC 2002.

THIS PRIZE HAS BEEN GIVEN SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENCOURAGING YOUR ATTENDANCE AT “HHC 2001: A HANDHELD ODYSSEY”, TO BE HELD IN CHICAGO ON SEPTEMBER 15 AND 16, 2001 AND AT HHC 2002 IN LONDON.

The HHC 2002 portion of the prize has been donated by the organizers of HHC 2002 - the Handheld And Portable Computer Club based in London, U.K.
The Air Travel portion of the prize has been donated by Paul Hubbert.
